Estonia Considers Israeli David's Sling Missile Defense System

Estonia is evaluating the acquisition of Israel's David's Sling missile defense system to counter ballistic threats from Russia. The Baltic nation, a NATO member, currently possesses only short-range air defense capabilities, according to Israel Defense magazine. Estonian media reports indicate that the country is also considering the Patriot system and Franco-Italian air defense assets.

The Estonian government plans to allocate over one billion euros to bolster its air defenses. Five defense companies have submitted proposals, with some offering delivery within two to three years, a timeline deemed crucial given the escalating Russian threat.
