Finnish Defense Chief Visits Israel to Review David's Sling Air Defense System
General Jani Jaakkola, Commander of the Finnish Defense Forces, conducted an official visit to Israel where he met with IDF Chief of Staff Aviv Kochavi and other senior commanders. During the visit, the Finnish delegation received a detailed briefing on the capabilities of the David's Sling missile defense system and engaged in professional discussions about operational experience gained from its deployment. The IDF noted that the system's development is progressing as planned.
The meetings also covered recent security developments in the Middle East, with particular focus on the situation in Lebanon and key lessons learned from recent battlefields. A senior Israeli defense official emphasized that cooperation with the Finnish military is part of a broader effort to deepen Israel Defense Forces' partnerships with friendly armies worldwide.
