Jewish Children in Arab Villages Face Spiritual Neglect, Yad L'Achim Warns

As the High Holy Days approach, the organization Yad L'Achim is highlighting the plight of hundreds of Jewish children growing up in Arab villages, disconnected from their Jewish heritage. The organization is launching a campaign to raise funds for the "redemption of captives" mitzvah, with donors' names to be recited in prayer at three holy sites.

Yad L'Achim states that these children are being raised in a vacuum of Jewish identity, lacking basic Jewish education and connection to their roots. The organization aims to provide them with the necessary resources and support to reconnect with Judaism, especially during the solemn period of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.
