Avihu Pinhasov Stuns with Extravagant "Kakameyka" Show in Tel Aviv

Singer Avihu Pinhasov's new show, "Kakameyka," at Expo Tel Aviv featured a series of unusual and extravagant moments, including a 3.5-meter tall robot, a rhino prop suspended above the stage, and acrobats. The production, which Pinhasov worked on for months, was originally scheduled for April but was postponed due to the conflict with Iran. Thousands attended the event, which combined musical performance, a festival atmosphere, and elements of a musical theater production.

Attendees, some dressed in cowboy hats and animal print, witnessed a spectacle involving dozens of dancers, musicians, and acrobats. The stage was adorned with sculptures, elaborate displays, and custom-built large-scale elements. One notable moment involved Pinhasov performing while riding a rhino prop that was lifted into the air. Earlier, he emerged from a giant robot designed to resemble his late grandmother, which was positioned over the audience.

During the show, Pinhasov descended from the stage wearing only underwear and sat on a audience member's shoulders. A performer in a costume was also lifted above the crowd, pouring ouzo towards them. The performance incorporated acrobatic acts, oversized props, and numerous participants, creating a visually striking experience that generated significant social media buzz.

Pinhasov and his band have been performing across Israel for over a decade. His public profile increased after a brief appearance on "The Star Next Star" in 2020 and a subsequent performance on "Makom Sachar" with Noa Koler. The "Kakameyka" production marked a significant escalation in the scale and ambition of his shows, blending music, theater, circus arts, and unique stage design into a singular, memorable event.
