Iran Urges Americans to Reject Military Service for Israel's Interests

Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Esmaeil Baghaei, has called on U.S. citizens to refuse participation in military conflicts that serve Israel's interests. The appeal was made via a post on social media platform X, in response to an article published by an Israeli newspaper.

The article in question, reportedly from The Jerusalem Post, suggested using the cancellation of student loan debt as an incentive for American students to enlist in the military for a potential war against Iran. Baghaei criticized this proposal, questioning why American sons and daughters would be offered debt relief in exchange for fighting and potentially dying in a war that Israel is seeking to prolong and expand.

Baghaei stated that the publication is openly discussing this initiative, proposing to send debtors to the front lines. He emphasized that this represents the exploitation of American lives and taxpayer money for foreign interests. The Iranian diplomat urged U.S. residents not to allow themselves to be used as "infantry" in a war they did not choose, nor to let their children become mercenaries in an "illegal conflict."
