Israeli Forces Detain Four Palestinians, Including a Woman, in West Bank Raids

The Israeli military arrested four Palestinians, including a woman, on Saturday during separate raids across the West Bank. The Palestinian Wafa news agency reported that Israeli forces detained one Palestinian in the eastern neighborhood of Jenin, in the northern West Bank. Another Palestinian and his mother were arrested during a raid on displaced persons' housing near the American University of Jenin, according to Wafa. This comes amid ongoing Israeli actions in Jenin since January 21, 2025, which have reportedly destroyed hundreds of homes and displaced over 17,000 residents.

Wafa also stated that the arrests coincided with Israeli military incursions into various West Bank areas, including Al-Bireh, the Amari refugee camp south of Ramallah, and Kafr Aqab, north of East Jerusalem. Israeli forces reportedly entered the Amari camp and neighborhoods in Al-Bireh without reporting arrests or injuries. In Kafr Aqab, forces entered Airport Street and the Institute, and live fire and stun grenades were reportedly used at the entrance to the nearby Qalandia refugee camp, with no reported injuries.

Additionally, the Israeli military reportedly obstructed Palestinian movement at the sole entrance to Al-Mughayyir village, northeast of Ramallah, and detained several vehicles. In the southern West Bank, Wafa reported the arrest of a Palestinian from Bethlehem as he passed through a military checkpoint east of Jerusalem. The West Bank experiences daily raids by Israeli forces, involving home invasions and arrests, alongside attacks by settlers.
