Hot weather has already begun across Israel, with temperatures set to rise today, especially in the north, and several areas placed under heat alerts. The forecast says Wednesday will be partly cloudy to clear, with a slight increase in temperatures, mainly in northern Israel, where readings will be a little above seasonal norms.
For Thursday, conditions are expected to stay partly cloudy to clear, but temperatures should dip slightly, בעיקר in the hills and inland areas, bringing values back to seasonal averages. Another slight decline is forecast for Friday in the hills and inland regions, with partly cloudy to clear skies continuing.
The Israel Meteorological Service issued a red heat warning for the Jordan Valley. It also published orange warnings for the Beit She'an Valley, the Kinneret Valley and the northern Arava. Yellow alerts were issued for southern Golan, eastern Lower Galilee, Hula Valley, Jezreel Valley, northeastern Samaria, northern Judean Desert and the Dead Sea area, southern Judean Desert and Dead Sea area, eastern Negev, and Eilat and the southern Arava.
Forecast temperatures for Wednesday night and Thursday include Jerusalem 17-28, Tel Aviv 21-28, Beersheba 19-30, Haifa 20-27, Tiberias 20-31, Safed 16-25, and Eilat 28-39.
