Netanyahu Details Gaza Control, Iran Strategy, and Media Criticism in Exclusive Interview

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu granted an exclusive interview to "Cabinet Night" host Noa Dromi, offering candid remarks during a day that included travel by helicopter and secure convoy to areas in southern Israel.

During the interview, conducted without formal attire or filters, Netanyahu discussed pressing issues including Iran, the ongoing political landscape, and upcoming elections. He asserted that Israel maintains "complete control" over more than 60% of the Gaza Strip, a situation he believes has largely achieved the goal of preventing Gaza from posing a future threat to Israel. He envisions Gaza in five to ten years as a region where no one would dare attack Israel due to its perceived security dominance.

Netanyahu also addressed his strategy regarding Iran, stating that Israel has "very strongly" struck at the "axis of evil" and is actively working towards the downfall of the Iranian regime, which he described as being "on chicken legs." He expressed confidence that the Iranian regime will fall, with Israeli systems operating under his direction to achieve this outcome.

Reflecting on the October 7th attacks, Netanyahu stated that the massacre and its suffering could have been prevented if timely action had been taken. He contrasted this with the existential threat posed by Iran's nuclear program, which he believes has been largely addressed by his government. He posed the question of who is best suited to complete the remaining work on this issue, differentiating between those who initially opposed the action and those who have significantly advanced it.

When asked to explain the perceived gap between public affection shown during his visit to southern Israel and the criticism he faces in some media circles, Netanyahu attributed it to what he called the "propaganda machine" of certain Israeli news channels, suggesting that perceptions are shaped by what viewers watch.
