Former Minister Gilad Erdan Announces Unity Party Will Not Run in Elections
Gilad Erdan, chairman of the Unity Party, announced that his party will not participate in the upcoming elections. Erdan explained that despite significant efforts, the party's support does not guarantee it will pass the electoral threshold. Furthermore, attempts to merge with other parties within the "Unity bloc" did not materialize.
"A large majority of the public is primarily seeking a clear decision on the identity of the prime minister, and the need for a broad unity government is not a high priority," Erdan stated. He thanked the party's leadership members, including Yuli Edelstein, Aliza Bloch, Oren Smadja, and Hazi Nehama. Erdan affirmed his continued commitment to public service.
