Retired General Yiftah Spector Joins Avigdor Lieberman's Political Circle
Retired Major General Yiftah Spector announced on Friday that he has decided to join the inner circle of Yisrael Beiteinu party chairman Avigdor Lieberman. Spector revealed that he has been closely accompanying Lieberman for several weeks, participating in discussions on foreign and security policy.
"I have decided to join Avigdor Lieberman's team," Spector stated. He elaborated that this collaboration has been ongoing for weeks, involving personal meetings and serious deliberations on foreign and security matters.
Despite joining Lieberman's political orbit, Spector emphasized that his move is not motivated by a desire to enter the Knesset or secure a political position. "I have no interest in being a Knesset member. I am not looking for a job, I am not looking for a position," he declared, adding that he is financially secure and focused on his grandchildren.
However, Spector did not rule out the possibility of taking on a state role in the future. He indicated that if called upon for such a position, he would be willing to leave his current professional engagements to serve the country. "If I am called for any state role, I will leave all the jobs I am involved in, and thank God I have many, and I will go to serve this country," he said.
