Duvdevan Unit Foils Terror Attack, Arrests Five Suspects
Duvdevan unit soldiers apprehended a cell of five terrorists in the Qabatiya area of northern Samaria early Friday morning. The suspects were reportedly planning to carry out an attack against Israeli civilians and security forces. The operation followed intelligence efforts by the Shin Bet.
The soldiers apprehended the five individuals within ten minutes of entering the suspected locations. During searches of the suspects' homes, forces discovered and confiscated an M16 rifle and additional weaponry that had been hidden. The apprehended terrorists were transferred for further investigation by security forces.
The Duvdevan unit's operation is part of ongoing efforts to counter terrorism in the region. The confiscated weapons were reportedly intended for use in terror activities.
