Duvdevan Unit Thwarts Terror Cell Planning Attack in Ten Minutes
Duvdevan unit soldiers apprehended a five-member terrorist cell in the Qabatiya area early Friday morning, thwarting an attack planned against Israeli civilians and security forces. The swift operation, which lasted less than ten minutes from the moment of entry into the area, was executed following concentrated intelligence efforts by the Shin Bet security agency. The intelligence revealed that the cell members were actively preparing to carry out an attack targeting both civilians and security personnel.
Utilizing an element of complete surprise, the Israeli forces raided suspected locations in Qabatiya, part of the Menashe Brigade's sector. Following the rapid arrests, soldiers conducted thorough searches of the suspects' homes. During these searches, they discovered and confiscated an M16 assault rifle and additional weaponry that had been hidden by the cell members.
The five apprehended terrorists, along with the seized weapons, were transferred to security forces facilities for further investigation.
