Israeli Lawmaker Warns of Palestinian Uprising, Calls for Right-Wing Unity

Member of Knesset Zvi Sukkot has issued a stark warning regarding the Palestinian Authority's military capabilities and the continued adherence to the Oslo Accords by Israel's security establishment. In an interview, Sukkot expressed concern that the PA is training tens of thousands of armed individuals capable of attacking Israeli communities and bases, describing a "turn of the guns" scenario as a potential and imminent threat.

Sukkot criticized Israel's continued commitment to the Oslo Accords, which he called "the most absurd agreement on earth," noting that while Israel strictly adheres to its terms, the Palestinian Authority has largely disregarded them, including provisions on water, electricity, and incitement. He pointed out that Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas himself declared the agreement void a decade ago, yet Israel persists in upholding it.

Looking ahead to the next elections, Sukkot urged a broad unification of right-wing parties, including those to the right of the Likud, and suggested the inclusion of Ofer Winter. He emphasized that such unity is crucial for electoral victory, warning against internal disputes within the right-wing bloc that could cost votes. Sukkot drew a parallel to the right's electoral performance in 1992, attributing their loss to internal divisions.

Addressing criticism of the Religious Zionism party's political positioning, Sukkot stated that the ultimate test lies in practical achievements and results, not political "color" or background. He asserted that politics deals with real lives and that the public should evaluate representatives based on their ability to embody values and deliver outcomes, citing his party's past accomplishments.
