Israel's Largest Special Education Network Opens 24 New Facilities

Perach Israel, the country's largest special education network, has launched the new school year with significant expansion, opening 24 new facilities across dozens of municipalities. This growth includes over 5,000 education, therapy, and para-medical staff, marking one of the largest special education openings in Israel. The network's CEO, Rabbi Moshe Stein, inaugurated the school year in Sderot, where the organization's communication daycare facilities were expanded and moved to a new, larger, and fully protected building. Stein and Sderot Mayor Alon Davidi visited the new facility and affixed a mezuzah.

New facilities were established throughout the country, including a new communication school in Tiberias, five communication kindergartens and a rehabilitation kindergarten in Rosh Ha'ayin, three new communication kindergartens each in Ariel and Ra'anana, and two in Karnei Shomron. Additional kindergartens opened in Givat Ze'ev, Yehud, and Be'er Ya'akov. Perach Israel also expanded its reach to new municipalities, opening rehabilitation daycare centers for the first time in Ofakim and Givat Shmuel, with another planned for Kochav Ya'ir in the coming month. Existing facilities in Elad, Harish, Leshem, and Sderot were relocated to larger, more spacious buildings.

A key achievement this year is the network's staffing, with over 5,000 professionals now employed. This was accomplished through an intensive recruitment drive over recent months, addressing the ongoing shortage of specialists in Israel's special education system. The network reported that it has met its staffing needs across all its facilities.
