Bereaved Father Attacked Over Dog Dispute in Old Acre

A father who lost his daughter in the Nova music festival massacre was brutally assaulted in Old Acre, reportedly after his dog got into an altercation with another dog. Police arrested two suspects in their 20s following a raid on their homes, and their detention has been extended. The incident occurred last Saturday when the victim, a resident of Haifa who lost his daughter on October 7th, was walking his dog in Old Acre. According to police, a dispute escalated between the dogs, with the owners of the other dog claiming their pet was attacked. Police allege that following the argument, the suspects violently attacked the father, causing his injuries.

Investigators from the Acre station launched an inquiry, utilizing intelligence and operational efforts to locate those involved. Within a short time, detectives identified two suspects from Old Acre. Early this morning, detectives, SWAT teams, and patrol officers raided their homes and apprehended them. The two suspects were taken for questioning at the Acre station and subsequently detained. A court approved the police's request to extend their arrest until next week. The police stated, "Israel Police exhibit zero tolerance for displays of violence and thuggery in public spaces and will act decisively to prosecute lawbreakers."
