Israel's National Security Minister Proposes Mass Emigration Plan for Gazans

Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has unveiled a plan for the emigration of residents from the Gaza Strip, which he has dubbed "Disengagement 710." Ben-Gvir stated that "there are countries ready to absorb, and there are masses who want to move." The proposal emphasizes that emigration would not occur without a designated destination country, and families would remain together.

According to the plan, Israel would finance the initiative, providing a resettlement package for the first two years covering housing, education, and employment. Israel would also compensate the recipient countries. The stated goal is to facilitate the emigration of 1.86 million Palestinians from Gaza within seven years.

Ben-Gvir called for the establishment of a dedicated Ministry of Immigration, headed by a minister and an immigration project manager, which would undertake this effort. He expressed confidence that countries are willing to accept Gazan refugees and that many Gazans desire to leave.
