Kiryat Ono Launches "A Class for Every Child" Program with Subsidies

The Kiryat Ono Municipality has launched a new initiative called "A Class for Every Child/Girl," in partnership with Mifal HaPayis (the National Lottery). This program is designed for first and second-grade residents of the city, offering financial assistance of up to 200 shekels per month, totaling 1,800 shekels annually, for one extracurricular activity.

The subsidy can be applied to a wide range of activities offered by municipal corporations, including the community center, conservatory, sports department, and municipal pool. To maximize the benefit, the municipality advises parents to register for their desired activity in September. A dedicated website has been launched, providing program details, registration links, and a calculator to determine the exact subsidy amount based on the chosen activity and registration date. A dedicated WhatsApp number is also available for resident inquiries.

Registration for the activities is ongoing, with the actual benefit voucher purchase opening on October 11, 2026. Mayor Michal Rosh-Ein praised the program as a significant development for families, enabling more children to participate in activities, explore new interests, and develop. She acknowledged the project's partners, including Ilan Namer, Director of Strategy and Innovation, and Bar Armon, Director of the Conservatory.

The Kiryat Ono Community Center, the largest provider of activities, anticipates a significant influx of participants and is preparing logistically. Its CEO, Moshe Babel-Por, welcomed the program, highlighting its potential to expand community services and make the center a place of belonging, growth, and enjoyment for more families.
