Israeli Charity Distributes Over 600 School Supply Kits Nationwide Ahead of New School Year

As the new school year approaches, the Israeli nonprofit Ruach Tova, part of the Arison Group, completed its nationwide campaign "The Good Box," collecting and distributing more than 600 school supply kits to families in need across Israel. Over approximately two weeks, the initiative gathered backpacks, pencil cases, notebooks, and school shirts through hundreds of collection points including stores, municipal centers, and community hubs in 13 municipalities from northern cities like Tiberias and Yokneam to southern towns such as Ashdod and Kiryat Gat.

This year, the campaign expanded to include contributions from 17 businesses whose employees donated supplies to local authorities near their workplaces. Community events were held in participating municipalities where families, children, and volunteers sorted and packed the collected items for distribution. Ruach Tova chairman Rafi Elul emphasized the dual impact of the project, highlighting environmental benefits from reusing supplies and the strengthening of social solidarity and community resilience.

Beyond the school supply drive, Ruach Tova connects individual and corporate volunteers with hundreds of organizations in need through its online platform, encouraging ongoing community engagement throughout the summer and beyond.
