Tirat Carmel City Council Approves New Treasurer Appointment
The Tirat Carmel City Council plenum approved the appointment of Uri Sharon as the city's treasurer on Wednesday, September 2, 2026. Sharon is expected to assume his duties after the High Holidays.
Sharon, selected for the role by the Committee for Appointing Senior Officials, brings over two decades of experience in managing financial systems within both municipal and business sectors. He will succeed Shagit Ben Gozi, who has been appointed treasurer of the city of Acre.
Mayor Dudu Cohen welcomed Sharon's appointment, expressing confidence that his professional experience and deep understanding of local government will aid in the responsible management of the city's resources, foster development, and improve services for residents. Cohen also thanked Ben Gozi for her contributions to Tirat Carmel and wished her success in her new position in Acre.
