Imposter Posing as Doctor Sentenced for Abusing Patients

A Jerusalem court has sentenced Matan Shaul to 30 months in prison for impersonating a medical professional and committing indecent acts against patients at Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital. The court found that Shaul, wearing attire resembling medical staff uniforms, including a mask and gloves, approached patients, including a minor, and engaged in sexual misconduct under the guise of medical examinations. He confessed to two counts of indecent acts achieved through deceit and one count of attempted indecent acts. In addition to the prison sentence, Shaul received a nine-month suspended sentence and was ordered to pay 15,000 shekels in compensation to the minor victim. The court emphasized that Shaul exploited the patients' vulnerable state and their trust in medical personnel.
