Impersonators Scam Patient Using Beilinson Hospital Identity, Police Investigate

Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva filed an official complaint with the local police on Tuesday following a serious fraud case involving impersonation of its medical staff. Unauthorized individuals pretended to be hospital personnel, promising advanced medical treatments abroad to a patient and fraudulently collecting money from her. The scam was uncovered after the hospital received a direct report revealing that external parties had used the hospital's name and staff identities to deceive a patient currently abroad who required medical care.

Hospital representatives stated that upon discovering the fraud, the administration immediately contacted law enforcement to apprehend the suspects and prevent further fraudulent activity. The Petah Tikva police have opened an investigation and are actively searching for those responsible. This incident adds to a recent series of impersonation and fraud cases, highlighting the need for vigilance among patients and healthcare institutions.
