Iran Claims New Drone and Missile Strikes on US Bases in Kuwait, UAE

Iran announced new drone and missile attacks targeting U.S. military facilities in Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates, escalating its strikes across the Middle East. According to the Iranian army, these attacks, part of an operation dubbed "Lightning," specifically targeted the Ahmed al-Jaber base in Kuwait and the Al-Minhad base in the UAE.

In Kuwait, Iranian forces claimed to have struck satellite communication systems, equipment depots, and fighter jet hangars at Ahmed al-Jaber base, asserting that communication systems and aircraft shelters were damaged. In the UAE, the Al-Minhad base was reportedly targeted, with Iranian military statements indicating that American military personnel locations and radar systems were hit.

The Iranian army stated that these operations were conducted in response to "the blood of innocent civilians and brave soldiers of the armed forces." As of now, there has been no independent confirmation of Iran's claims regarding the strikes or their outcomes.

Earlier, former Israeli Major General Yisrael Ziv commented on the possibility of an Iranian attack and criticized criticism directed at those who went to border areas on October 7.
