Mother and Daughter Miraculously Survive Truck Crash into Clothing Store

A mother and daughter, Liat and Shaked Vanagrovsky, narrowly escaped serious injury or death when a runaway truck crashed into a clothing store on a sidewalk in Israel. The truck lost control, colliding with vehicles and pushing them forcefully towards the store's storefront. Liat and Shaked were walking near the vehicles at the time and were also propelled into the store amidst the chaos.

The dramatic incident, captured on security camera footage, transformed a routine street walk into a life-altering event. Both mother and daughter described the terrifying moments, with Shaked being briefly trapped under broken glass. They expressed profound shock and immense gratitude for their survival.

"We were on the street, and a truck that just lost control pushed cars, and also threw us into the store. An inch here, an inch there, and we wouldn't be here today," Liat recounted the harrowing experience. The aftermath revealed significant destruction within the store, with the vehicle penetrating deep inside and stopping among clothing racks.

Despite the violent impact and the shocking scene, the incident concluded with a "great miracle," resulting in only minor injuries and cuts. Magen David Adom ambulances provided medical treatment and transported the injured.

In the days following the accident, the mother and daughter have been processing the trauma, particularly by rewatching the security footage. The videos vividly illustrated the stark contrast between the destructive force of the crash and their survival. "I watch it really non-stop, because every time again I still don't believe it's me there in the video and that I'm here," Shaked shared. Liat added, "The more you watch the videos and say what could have ended differently, you say really... we truly received life as a gift."
