Gotliv Says Court Ruling Came a Day After Knesset Backed Her Immunity

MK Tali Gotliv responded to a court decision denying her immunity in a defamation suit filed by Shikma Bressler over Gotliv’s exposure of Bressler’s partner as a Shin Bet official. In a post on X, Gotliv said, "Surprise. A day after the Knesset committee determined my substantive immunity, the district court published a decision, after taking about a year and a half to write it, that rejects most of Bressler’s claim against me outright because of immunity, except for two issues."

Those two issues, according to Gotliv, are Bressler’s meeting with the head of Mossad and the interception of conversations between her partner and Yahya Sinwar. She said the judge found that more factual clarification was still needed regarding her sources, and would decide later on immunity in that matter. Gotliv added that an explanation regarding the immunity of her sources had been sent to the court.
