Channel 13 Reporter's Unscripted Washington Debut Sparks Online Buzz

Suleiman Maswadeh, the new Channel 13 correspondent in Washington D.C., made his first live broadcast from the U.S. capital under impromptu conditions. Maswadeh joined the "Moreh Barco" program hosted by Moriah Asaraf and Eyal Barco, reporting via his phone while still in the process of settling in after his arrival.

During the broadcast, Maswadeh explained that he was reporting from his phone because he hadn't yet secured a proper studio setup and was in the midst of essential tasks like opening a bank account and arranging a local phone number. He was unable to see co-host Eyal Barco during the call, leading to some lighthearted moments.

Host Moriah Asaraf acknowledged the unusual circumstances, noting that this was their "official envoy" and expressing anticipation for more visually engaging reports from interesting locations around the city in the future. Maswadeh assured the hosts that a more formal segment would be featured in the evening news broadcast.

Maswadeh elaborated that he had just left the bank to conduct the live segment before returning to finalize his administrative arrangements. Despite the temporary technical limitations, the broadcast officially marked the beginning of his tenure as Channel 13's representative in Washington.
