Channel 14 reporter misses call from Trump, then gets back to him

A particularly amusing and embarrassing incident befell Channel 14 correspondent in Washington, Libi Alon, who managed to miss a direct phone call from U.S. President Donald Trump. Alon recounted the details of the episode this evening, Monday, during the program “Seven,” hosted by Yaakov Bardugo and Yehuda Schlesinger on the channel.

Alon described with a smile the moments of panic and embarrassment: “Wow, I have to say it was just embarrassing.” She explained to viewers that after a long and especially busy day of work in the American capital, she briefly did not notice what was happening, and when she finally looked at her mobile phone screen, she saw a “missed call” from none other than the president of the world’s greatest power. Despite the stress and surprise, the reporter did not lose her composure and immediately tried to fix the situation.

“I ran to call him back immediately,” Alon shared. “He doesn’t always answer, we spoke earlier yesterday, but in the end we did manage to talk.”
