Likud Director-General's Leaked Remarks Criticize Minister Gamliel

Leaked recordings reveal sharp criticism from Likud Director-General David Sharan, a close associate of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, directed at Minister Gila Gamliel. Sharan is heard expressing anger over Gamliel's accusations of fraud during the Likud primaries, stating, "In all channels, calling everyone thieves at night." He accused her of diminishing the Likud party and questioned her actions, saying, "You are a minister in Israel, grow up already." MK Hanoch Milvidsky detailed irregularities presented to the Likud tribunal in Gamliel's petition, including the tampering of ballot boxes, the validation of improper votes, and the admission of failure by the security company overseeing the process. Milvidsky stated that while he did not initiate recounts or petitions and does not expect his position on the list to change, the Likud party cannot ignore such fundamental flaws that undermine its democratic process. He advocated for a full recount of all ballot boxes by an external company, emphasizing that the issue transcends personal rivalries and concerns the core of democracy within the Likud.
