Minister Haim Katz Accuses Gila Gamliel of Lies After Likud Primary Results
Israeli Minister Haim Katz has responded to the final results of the Likud party's primaries, which saw Eti Atiya, a figure close to Katz, rise to the 25th spot on the party's list, displacing Minister Gila Gamliel. Katz took to social media platform X to state, "In the past week, I have been subjected to a barrage of lies and slander from Mrs. Gamliel, her family, and her associates." He claimed the "only reason for restraint is the good of the Likud on the eve of fateful elections for Israel's future."
The dispute between Gamliel and Katz reportedly escalated during voting at a polling station in Be'er Ya'akov. Following this incident, Gamliel filed a complaint against Katz and against Likud Director-General David Sharan.
