Haredi and Hasidic Leaders Mark Holidays and Anniversaries

Across Israel and internationally, prominent Hasidic rebbes and their communities have been engaged in various religious observances and celebrations marking the recent holidays and anniversaries. The Vizhnitz Rebbe's sons issued an urgent call for prayer for their father's recovery, urging followers to recite Psalms and engage in continuous study. Meanwhile, thousands are expected to gather for Rosh Hashanah, seeking blessings from the Rebbe.

Several funerals for revered Hasidic leaders have taken place, including the Vizhnitz Rebbe of Manhattan, the Komarna Rebbe of Manhattan, and the Bialla Ostrova Rebbe, who passed away in the US. These events drew large crowds of mourners and were followed by traditional condolence visits.

Anniversaries of deceased spiritual leaders were also commemorated. The grandson of the Strikov Rebbe held a celebration marking 25 years since his grandfather's passing, with his father completing the entire Talmud in prayer.

Hasidic rebbes have been active in various communities, with the Mebakeshei Emunah Rebbe traveling to Modi'in Illit to strengthen congregants. The Vizhnitz Monsey Rebbe visited Bnei Brak, meeting with other rebbes and addressing followers. The Vizhnitz Rebbe inaugurated an expansion of his temporary great synagogue in Bnei Brak ahead of the High Holidays and upcoming weddings.

Miraculous events were reported, including a Jew in Belgium who faced a severe trial and was saved after receiving a blessing from the Jerusalem Kretschneff Rebbe, involving Lulav rings.

Weddings and bar mitzvahs have been central events, with the Kretschneff Kiryat Gat Rebbe celebrating his aide's wedding and dancing with the groom. The Pinsk Karlin Rebbe's grandson and the Bustaon Beitar Rebbe's granddaughter were married. The Yevnyel Ga'avad celebrated his grandson's wedding, donning white garments for the first time. A bar mitzvah for the first great-grandson of the Shach Rebbe and the Makov Ga'avad was held in Bnei Brak.

Other notable events include the Nadvorna Jerusalem community's dinner, where the Rebbe appeared in historical attire. The Lelov-Nikolshburg Rebbe was in Arad for Shabbat, and his followers witnessed his Havdalah ceremony. The Vizhnitz Av Beis Din inaugurated a new kindergarten wing and appointed a new rabbi in Afula. A new book series, "Or Shalom" on the holidays by the Mishkoltz Rebbe, has been released. The Vizhnitz Rebbe of Monsey visited Bnei Brak, addressing students and blessing thousands. The Yevnyel Ga'avad wore white garments for the first time at a wedding.
