Israeli Forces Seize Truck Used in West Bank Violence, Arrest Two

Israeli police forces in the Samaria region on Wednesday apprehended a white pickup truck suspected of being used by rioters during a violent incident in the Palestinian village of Kusra. The seizure prompted a gathering of individuals who attempted to prevent the truck's confiscation, including by throwing stones at security forces. Two suspects were arrested in connection with the disturbances and handed over for questioning, after which the area reportedly returned to calm.

The truck's seizure was part of an ongoing investigation into violent incidents that occurred last Saturday in Kusra. The investigation and raid were conducted by an inter-organizational command, including the Shin Bet security agency. As special patrol units (YAMAM) worked to move the truck, a crowd of suspects blocked and interfered with the forces, throwing stones. In addition to the two arrests made during the truck seizure, police investigators are working to identify other extremist rioters, with arrest warrants issued and efforts underway to locate and apprehend them. Several other vehicles used by suspects in the original incident have also been seized, and the investigation into the events in Kusra continues.

Last Saturday, Israeli security forces, including the military and Border Police, were deployed to Kusra following reports of Israeli rioters entering the area. Forces identified dozens of rioters barricaded inside a Palestinian home where Palestinian residents were present. The rioters reportedly threw stones at the Palestinians, injuring one woman. No arrests were made at that time, despite the presence of dozens of rioters.
