Police Seize Ramming Truck Used in Palestinian Village Attack

Israeli police announced Wednesday they had located and seized a pickup truck used by Jewish rioters during a violent attack in the Palestinian village of Qusra, located in the Benjamin region, over the weekend. The vehicle was found at the "Mevaser HaShalom" outpost, and during its seizure, several suspects threw stones at officers, leading to the arrest of two individuals. Police stated that the rioters from Qusra have been identified and efforts are underway to apprehend them.

On Saturday, Israeli military and Border Police forces were dispatched to Qusra after "dozens of Jewish rioters" arrived and began throwing stones at Palestinians and other civilians. According to a joint IDF and Border Police statement, the rioters were found to have barricaded themselves inside a Palestinian home while residents were still present. The attackers also assaulted foreign journalists, throwing stones and smashing their vehicle's windshield.

Police confirmed Wednesday that the investigation into the Qusra incident is ongoing. Separately, police reported that officers from the Judea and Samaria district, along with Border Police and Shin Bet agents, arrested three suspects early Wednesday morning in connection with "extreme violence," including arson and attacks on Palestinians in the southern Hebron Hills region. The suspects, aged 15 to 22, are residents of Judea and Samaria and central Israel. Police intend to seek extensions of their detention.

An additional eight suspects were arrested Tuesday in connection with violent incidents. Seven of their detentions were extended, while one was released under restrictive conditions. Police stated their investigation continues using all available resources to identify, arrest, and prosecute all those involved in violence or property damage.

In a separate development, Police Commissioner Kobi Shabtai reportedly warned in a closed meeting about the damage caused by settler violence in Judea and Samaria, stating, "The Americans are fed up, and the world sees us as thugs." He added that a small group's sole purpose is to attack Palestinians, causing significant reputational damage and portraying Israel as a nation of "thugs and criminals."
