Ashdod Loft Shut Down for 12 Days After Teen Party with Alcohol

Police have issued a 12-day administrative closure order for a loft in Ashdod following a party attended by minors and featuring large quantities of alcohol. The event took place the evening before the start of the school year. The loft, located in the city's industrial zone, was hosting a party for teenagers reportedly preparing to enter the 12th grade.

During a police raid on the premises, officers discovered various types of alcohol. Investigations also revealed that the loft was operating without the required business license. Those involved were questioned, and evidence was collected regarding the venue's activities. Following a hearing with the loft's owners, the police decided to enforce the closure.

This action is part of a broader police operation targeting events involving minors in the southern region. In recent days, police have shut down several parties where minors were found celebrating without adequate supervision and with significant amounts of alcohol accessible to them. Bottles were confiscated, and events were stopped. Police took statements from some of the minors present and launched an investigation into the circumstances of these gatherings.

The commander of the Ashdod police station emphasized that underage drinking increases the risk of violence and crime. He stated that the police will continue to take action against businesses operating illegally, especially those hosting events with minors.
