Netanyahu's Wife Accuses Gallant of Prior Knowledge of Oct. 7 Attack

Sara Netanyahu, wife of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, alleged in an interview with Channel 14 on Monday that "The Democrats" party leader Yair Golan knew about the October 7th Hamas attack in advance, even before the Prime Minister.

"You claim you are a fighter on October 7th, you were already dressed and ready early in the morning," Netanyahu stated, implying Golan was prepared at a very early hour when others, including the Prime Minister, were unaware. This accusation suggests Golan had foreknowledge of the attack.

In response, "The Democrats" party issued a strong condemnation, calling Netanyahu's statements "lies and slander." The party defended Golan, stating, "Spreading conspiracies against Major General Yair Golan, and tarnishing his heroism on October 7th, are crossing a red line bordering on madness." They contrasted Golan's actions with Netanyahu's, asserting that while Netanyahu "ran to put on makeup and look for excuses, Yair Golan charged in and saved lives."

The party emphasized that facts will not change, regardless of attempts by the Netanyahu family and Channel 14 to rewrite them. The interview comes in the wake of previous reports by i24NEWS detailing alleged spin tactics and internal conflicts within the Prime Minister's office during the war, including attempts to sow discord between the IDF Chief of Staff and the Defense Minister.
