Yesh Atid Party Faces Exodus as Multiple Knesset Members Announce Departures

The political turmoil within the Yesh Atid party is deepening as several Knesset members have announced their departure from the party's list for the upcoming elections. MK Tatiana Mazarsky confirmed her exit, stating she will not run on the party's slate. This decision comes amidst significant internal restructuring and changes within Yesh Atid as it prepares for elections and forms its new list.

Mazarsky's departure is part of a broader wave of resignations and shifts affecting the party's leadership. MK Debbie Biton also announced she would not be seeking re-election with Yesh Atid. They are joined by veteran and senior lawmakers Meir Cohen, Mickey Levy, Boaz Toporovsky, and Ron Katz, who have all declared the end of their tenure on the party's Knesset list. Meir Cohen is set to transition to the role of Chairman and President of the party conference.

Additional Knesset members have chosen to pursue their political careers outside the party. MK Elazar Stern announced he will run with the "Yashar!" party led by Gadi Eisenkot, while MK Yoav Segalovitz declared a collaboration and run under the Ra'am party. These significant shake-ups are largely attributed to the need to make space for new alliances and figures on the party's electoral list. Yesh Atid is currently working to stabilize its ranks ahead of official election announcements.
