Gaza Clash: Hamas Claims Special Forces Raid Foiled

Palestinian sources suggest the unit's objective was likely the abduction of a senior Hamas official, an operation that ultimately failed. It remains unclear whether the unit was an Israeli military force or a pro-Israeli militia opposed to Hamas, as Palestinians have previously referred to militia fighters as "special forces."

Israeli Air Force aircraft are participating in the battle, striking Hamas militants. At least two vehicles were hit, and there are casualties on the Hamas side, with reports of 6 to 8 Palestinian fatalities. The IDF has not commented on the incident.
