Suspect Held in Infant Sedative Poisoning Case Remains in Custody
A Jerusalem Magistrate's Court extended the arrest of a suspect from southern Israel by six days. The individual is accused of intentionally introducing anesthetic substances into infant formula at a daycare center in Jerusalem. Police allege the suspect was "involved in the intentional poisoning of infants."
The suspect was apprehended at their home yesterday, where a search was conducted. Following the arrest, the individual was taken for questioning. A psychiatric evaluation determined the suspect to be fit for detention.
