Toddler in Serious Condition After Scorpion Sting Near Arad

A three-year-old child was stung by a yellow scorpion in a Bedouin encampment near Arad and is in serious condition. Emergency medical services evacuated the child to Soroka Hospital in Be'er Sheva.

The incident occurred in a Bedouin encampment in the Negev desert, close to the city of Arad. The child suffered a severe reaction to the sting of the venomous arachnid.

Medical teams provided initial treatment at the scene before transporting the child to the hospital. Doctors at Soroka are continuing to treat the child, whose condition remains critical.
