Maccabi Haifa to Extend Contracts of Youngsters Stiefman and Grinberg
Maccabi Haifa is set to announce on Tuesday that it has secured the long-term futures of two of its top prospects, Noam Stiefman and Adam Grinberg. Both players are expected to sign new long-term contracts and become important pieces of the senior squad in the coming years.
Stiefman, 18, stands 1.95 meters tall and made a strong impression with the first team as well as in the youth side's UEFA Youth League campaign. He made five starts and three substitute appearances. Stiefman has been at the club since age 8 and came up through the Kiryat Eliezer training complex in Kefar.
Grinberg, 16, is regarded as one of Israel's biggest talents. This season he played in Under-17, youth Premier League and senior Premier League competitions, scoring 13 goals in total. He started three senior matches and appeared in four more, but an injury limited his minutes in the playoffs.
Grinberg, who joined Maccabi Haifa's Carmel setup two years ago from Hapoel Tel Aviv, is expected to be fit for the start of the new season. Before this, the club had already signed Niv Ratner, Yinon Feingold, Elad Amir, Niv Gabay, Mark Golenkov and Liam Lusky to long-term deals.
