Elite Israeli Counter-Terror Unit Arrests Senior Lion's Den Terrorist in Nablus
Elite Israeli counter-terrorism officers arrested a senior wanted terrorist in the West Bank city of Nablus (Shchem) overnight between Sunday and Monday. The arrest was carried out by the National Counter-Terrorism Unit (YAMAM) based on precise intelligence from the Shin Bet security agency.
The suspect, 37, is accused of involvement in terrorist activities and attempting to carry out attacks against Israeli civilians. He was reportedly active in the Lion's Den (Guv Ha'ariyot) terror organization in Nablus, which Israeli security forces dismantled in 2022. Despite the organization's previous dismantling, some of its operatives have continued to promote terrorist activities.
