Three Yeshiva Students Arrested in Jerusalem for Vandalizing Muslim Graves

Jerusalem police detained three Haredi yeshiva students over the weekend on suspicion of vandalizing Muslim graves in the Old City. According to police, the suspects were apprehended during an initiative by officers from the David area, who are working to prevent attacks on religious figures, institutions, and cemeteries in the Old City.

In addition to the grave vandalism incident, four other suspects were detained on suspicion of spitting at the Armenian Patriarchate Monastery in the Armenian Quarter. All suspects were questioned on suspicion of behavior that could disturb public peace and were subsequently released under conditions.

The police emphasized that their operations against damage to religious institutions and holy sites in the Old City are ongoing, employing both overt and covert methods.
