Satmar Rebbe's Silverware Inheritance Divided Equally Among All Seven Children

Several months after the historic division of the Satmar Rebbe 'Brekh Moshe's' sacred items among his four sons, a new inheritance distribution took place involving the Rebbe's valuable antique silverware. Unlike the previous division, which was shared only among the sons, this time the silverware was divided equally among all seven children, including three daughters. The event was held at the home of philanthropist Rabbi Lipa Friedman in Monsey, where representatives of all heirs and religious custodians gathered to conduct the allocation.

The distribution was carried out through a lottery system using two special boxes: one containing slips with the names of the seven heirs, and the other with slips detailing the inheritance packages, each specifying the exact silver items and their estimated value. In each round, a name was drawn followed by a package slip, determining which heir received which set.

The results assigned the first package to the Satmar Chief Rabbi of Borough Park, the second to the Satmar Chief Rabbi of Monsey, the third to the Satmar Chief Rabbi of Montreal, the fourth to the Satmar Rebbe Mohariy, the fifth to the Satmar Rebbe Mahara, the sixth to the Satmar Av Beit Din of Zenta, and the seventh to the Satmar Av Beit Din 15. The event was documented with multiple photographs capturing the ceremony and the distribution process.
