IDF Kills Two Hamas Cell Leaders in Separate Gaza Strikes
The IDF said it carried out two targeted strikes in Gaza earlier today, killing two Hamas operatives who it said were preparing attacks on Israeli troops. In central Gaza, the army killed Salah Ramadan Muhammad Khalifa, described as the head of a cell in Hamas’s Nuseirat battalion. In northern Gaza, it killed Muhammad Musa Diab al-Habil, said to lead a cell in Hamas’s West Jabalia battalion.
According to the military, both men were planning terror attacks against IDF forces and posed an immediate threat. The army said they were eliminated in precise strikes. It also said steps were taken before the attacks to reduce harm to civilians, including the use of precision munitions and aerial surveillance.
The IDF added that Southern Command forces remain deployed in the area in line with the agreement and will continue operating to remove any threat.
