Satmar Rebbe Inaugurates Expanded Halls in Kiryas Joel as Hasidic Communities Celebrate Major Events

During the Satmar Rebbe's vacation in New York, the celebration halls and private study hall at his late father's residence in Kiryas Joel, Monroe, were expanded. Upon his return, the Rebbe held a moving mezuzah affixing ceremony and festive meal in the new halls. Meanwhile, the Sanz-Kloiznburg Rebbe spent a spiritually uplifting 36-hour Shabbat with hundreds of followers in Safed, including a late-night third meal. In Bnei Brak, the Zutshka Hasidic court celebrated the bar mitzvah of the eldest grandson of the Zutshka Rebbe in their newly enlarged study hall, with the Sanz Rebbe attending alongside other rabbis.

In Beitar Illit, hundreds of Zvhil Hasidim gathered for a Shabbat marking the yahrzeit of the "Mishnat Shlomo" Rebbe and the joyous memory of his 13th son, featuring Torah study completions and a traditional "Krisma Leynen" ceremony. The Kasov Rebbe from the U.S. led a solemn prayer gathering at the ancient Shiloh site in Benjamin, a place associated with fertility prayers, followed by a festive meal.

In a significant leadership transition, the eldest son of the late Spinka Rebbe was appointed to succeed his father, with his two brothers establishing courts in the U.S. and Israel. The Vizhnitz Hasidim held a grand "Parshpil" celebration for the Rebbe's grandson, while the Belz Hasidim marked the start of Selichot prayers with traditional Sephardic melodies. Other notable events included the historic relocation of the Darg Hasidim from Bnei Brak to Emmanuel, with their Rebbe visiting the new community, and the Lelov-Nikelsburg Rebbe preparing for the upcoming High Holidays in Switzerland.

Additionally, the Vizhnitz Rebbe issued a firm directive against army enlistment during a large prayer rally in Jerusalem. The Skulen Rebbes demonstrated humility by ceding the honor seat to their brother-in-law during a memorial meal. The Sanz-Kloiznburg Rebbe's arrival in Israel was met with great excitement, as he planned visits to holy sites and graves of tzaddikim.
