MK Tzvika Fogel Calls to Ban Ra'am Following Channel 14 Investigation

MK Tzvika Fogel of the Otzma Yehudit party publicly responded to a Channel 14 investigative report on Mansour Abbas, chairman of the Ra'am party, which examined Abbas's ties to the Islamic Movement. In a Facebook post on Thursday, Fogel praised the report by Omri Haim titled "Mansour Abbas, The Polite Jihad," stating it reinforced concerns repeatedly raised in the National Security Committee about the threat posed by the Islamic Movement to Israel's security. Fogel, who chairs the committee, revealed he has been working for some time to outlaw the Islamic Movement and has held several discussions on the matter. He emphasized his commitment to continue fighting any entity acting against the State of Israel from within its institutions.

The documentary aired earlier this week on Channel 14 and has sparked significant reactions from Israeli public officials. Alongside Fogel, figures such as Avi Maoz, Almog Cohen, and Moshe Feiglin have also commented on the film. The investigation has intensified calls within Israeli political circles to take legal action against Ra'am and its leadership due to alleged security concerns.
