Dr. Aryeh Bichrach Urges Unity Behind Religious Zionism List Ahead of Elections

Dr. Aryeh Bichrach, in his weekly column on Channel 7, calls on the public to unite behind the Religious Zionism party list led by Bezalel Smotrich for the upcoming Knesset elections. He stresses that despite disagreements over candidates or issues, it is crucial not to undermine this list. Bichrach, who lost his son in a 1995 terror attack, warns against the dangers of political fragmentation within the right-wing camp, citing a past precedent involving Rabbi Moshe Levinger's party that weakened their influence.

Highlighting current polls showing the Religious Zionism list hovering around five seats, Bichrach points out that the national-religious community constitutes a significant double-digit percentage of the population and recalls that the Mafdal party once secured a double-digit number of mandates. He acknowledges that not every candidate perfectly aligns with every voter's views but insists that once the list is democratically chosen, all supporters must rally behind it.

Bichrach praises Smotrich's work in Judea and Samaria, urging skeptics to consider the tangible results on the ground, noting that such achievements have been absent for many years. He concludes by addressing those proposing new political lists, labeling them "false prophets" and warning that new lists only dilute their collective strength since they compete for the same voter base. He advocates for supporting existing lists now and reconsidering strategies only after the elections.
