Man Dies After Concrete Mixer Truck Falls in Northern Israel
The Khatib family in Kafr Kanna is mourning the death of 35-year-old Bashar Maher Khatib, who was killed on Monday in an accident in Ba'aneh-Negeidat. Khatib was driving a concrete mixer truck when it fell from a height, resulting in his death.
Rescue and medical teams worked for over two hours to recover Khatib's body from the scene. His death was confirmed at the site, and his funeral was held on Monday night.
Ward Khatib, the uncle of the deceased, told Hala TV and Panet website that he learned of the accident around 11:00 AM and rushed to the scene with relatives. He last saw his nephew hours before the incident, describing him as a responsible, loving person with all good qualities. Bashar Maher Khatib recently had a young son.
Regarding road and workplace accidents, Ward Khatib stated that he is deeply affected but believes 90% of such incidents are the individuals' own responsibility, urging drivers to be cautious and responsible. He concluded by expressing gratitude to God.
