Hasidic Rebbes Visit Senior Rabbi Ahead of High Holidays

Leading Hasidic rebbes and rabbis visited Rabbi Yaakov Meir Shachter, the senior Rabbi of Breslov Hasidism, during the past week to offer and receive blessings ahead of the High Holidays. The visits included rebbes from various Hasidic dynasties such as Aaron, Galanta, and Zvihl, as well as Rabbi Gamliel Rabinowitz.

In Belgium, thousands of Hasidim gathered in Antwerp for Selichot prayers, led by the Peshwarask Rebbe. Meanwhile, in Bnei Brak, several rebbes performed the ancient custom of "Hatarat Nedarim" (annulment of vows) to enter the new year free of any oaths. This ceremony involved rebbes appearing before senior Hasidic figures or rabbinical courts.

During Rosh Hashanah, large crowds attended services in Bnei Brak, with many participating in festive meals led by the city's rebbes. The Modzhitz Rebbe was hospitalized briefly on the first night of the holiday due to feeling unwell but insisted on leading prayers the next morning. The Vizhnitz Rebbe also experienced a period of weakness and was hospitalized for tests, but was subsequently released. The Belz Rebbe was also released from Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital after a successful treatment following a few days of hospitalization.

Other events included the Sanz-Klausenburg Rebbe returning to the United States after a visit to Israel, the Nadvorna Rebbe visiting his new synagogue in Kiryat Gat, and a special event for children of the Rachmastrivka Rebbe's grandson. Additionally, Tolded Aaron Hasidim raised millions for their institutions and held a special event in Meron led by their rebbe.
