Ahead of Rosh Hashanah, Israel's Agriculture and Food Security Ministry will distribute duty-free import quotas for 400 tons of honey through a competitive process. The quota each marketer receives will depend on the consumer price it commits to offer, with lower prices awarded larger shares. Last year six entities won quotas at an average price of 18.7 shekels per kilogram.
