The Knesset approved the coalition’s “Appointments Bill” in a preliminary reading on Wednesday. According to a report on i24NEWS, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s chief of staff, Eden Nordan, pushed lawmakers to advance it before the elections. The bill would allow the dismissal after the elections of senior officials including Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara, the IDF chief of staff, and the heads of the Shin Bet and Mossad.
