Haim Levinson Says Iran Beat Israel in Strategic Defeat

Journalist Haim Levinson sharply criticized Israel on Monday morning over its conduct toward Iran and the emerging agreement between Tehran and the United States, calling the outcome a major Israeli defeat. He said, “It is a very hard morning,” adding, “Iran has defeated Israel.”

Levinson argued that Israel suffers from a “culture of self-deception,” where military achievements are celebrated repeatedly without judging the strategic result. He said Israelis keep boasting that they “showed them,” “crushed them,” “beat them,” “dismantled them,” and “broke and killed them,” while ignoring the broader outcome.

According to Levinson, despite the long campaign, Iran still retains enriched nuclear material, is expected to receive large sums of money, and its regime in Tehran survived while regaining direct access to the United States. He also claimed that “all Iran gives the United States in the new agreement is reopening the Strait of Hormuz,” which he said had already been open before February 27.

Levinson directed his harshest criticism at Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his circle. “What Netanyahu did here is a strategic defeat for generations,” he said, describing the people around him as incompetents who only praise him as a genius and do not think seriously or prepare alternatives. He concluded by calling the situation a “catastrophe” and “a very bad day.”
